Watchmen: Movies from graphic novels

March 4, 2009

V for Vendetta (2005). Those crazy Wachowski Brothers of Matrix renown wrote the screenplay, and graphic novel fans were not disappointed. Natalie Portman plays a mild-mannered maiden living in a futuristic England that’s now a fascist state. Hugo Weaving plays a masked man with a mission of vengeance. He provides Portman with the same service that Angelina Jolie provided James McAvoy in Wanted — he tutors her in the rights and wrongs of their current existence and reveals a secret about her own identity.
