Actors jinxed by Oscar

Robin Williams has had only one smash-hit starring vehicle since his 1997 Good Will Hunting Oscar, and that was the deplorable Patch Adams. He should be credited for concentrating on oddball independent films. But he needs to select them more carefully. One Hour Photo, with Williams as a stalker, was the only indie that hit the right notes. Oddball and independent do not guarantee success.

Beautiful!! You named the great big elephant that resides in the corner of the room – right next to the Oscar statuette – so very well!

I’ve often thought that winning that award was much more curse – than blessing!
