Most Memorable Aliens
July 7, 2008
The Times of London dares to go where no man has gone before and give us the top 40 most memorable aliens. The creatures were ranked by an intricate scoring
system with points given for original features, special powers, messianic qualities and overall coolness. And you will be surprised by which alien comes in at #1, with perfect 10s in all four categories. Let’s just say #1 can’t be topped in “messianic qualities.”
Here is how a few of our favorite aliens fared (comments are ours):
Ewoks, #32 –– How could you not like something that looks like cute little shitzhus?!
The Blob, #4 –– Oooey gooey!
Tribbles, #30 –– Remember what “The Trouble with Tribbles”(pictured) actually was?
Mr. Spock, #24 –– Live long and prosper back at ya!
Dr. Who, #14 –– With all of that time travel, exactly how old is the good doctor now?
E.T., #8 –– Phone home!
Martians, #29 –– The original little green men.
Ming the Merciless, #40 ––Flash Gordon’s longtime, increasingly reptilian nemesis is about as conniving as it gets.
Starman, #27 –– Maybe we liked Starman just because of Jeff Bridges.
Xenu, #20 –– Are we sure that L. Ron Hubbard wasn’t the actual alien?

You may have heard about the faked alien autopsy, but how about England’s troublesome “cake” problem?
