5. West Side Story
If this reminds you of Romeo and Juliet, it should. It’s basically the same story, moved to the Upper West Side of New York City in the late 1950s, with rival gangs replacing feuding families. The film version of the Broadway musical is widely considered one of the best of its kind. Not only did it do big box office, but it also won 10 Academy Awards out of the 11 for which it was nominated.

C’mon, this made the list? At 3 hrs and 14 minutes Leo was on the screen about 3hrs too long. Besides, sit through all this when you know the ending, if you don’t, shhh, the boat sinks.
