America’s most boring cities

With the holidays over and a new work year underway, you may have a tendency to look around your little slice of heaven and ask a simple question:

What on Earth am I doing here??

Okay, so most home bases don’t have the electricity of New York City, the hustle of Chicago, or the charm of San Francisco. But how about those of us who truly live in Dullsville, where nothing ever happens and most likely never will?

Forbes recently set out to determine which were truly America’s Most Boring Cities. To do so, the editors examined news coverage in major news media of the country’s 100 largest communities.

Where did the most people watch the least happen? Let’s just say that a Chamber of Commerce or two won’t consider this a red letter day.

Here’s the list:

Chula Vista, Calif.

Hialeah, Fla.

Mesa, Ariz.

North Las Vegas, Nev.

Chandler, Ariz.

Santa Ana, Calif.

Bakersfield, Calif.

Aurora, Colo.

Gilbert, Ariz.

Henderson, Nev.

To find out what makes these towns so exquisitely nondescript, visit Forbes.
