Best Project Runway Moments

Fashionistas are just beside themselves this summer. First, we had the stylicious Sex and the City movie, and now Project Runway is about to strut its Season 5 stuff starting July 16 on Bravo. With Christian’s overly used “Fierce!” (Season 4) echoing in our minds, along with Santino’s (right) spot-on impression of fan favorite Tim Gunn’s date with fellow contestant Andrae at Red Lobster (Season 2), we wanted to take a trip down the old memory runway and relive the show’s most memorable moments.

Season 1

Shoe-Gate: Front-runner Kara Saun had to give back a donation of some ultra-fab shoes after the producers warned her that that violated show rules.
The Wrath of Wendy: The mystery of who drew a mustache on a photo of Wendy Pepper’s daughter remains unsolved. That didn’t exactly help the tension between Wendy and the other designers.

Season 2

Andrae Sobs on the Runway: Andrae lost it after ending up in the bottom three for the “Clothes Off Your Back” challenge.
Santino Talks Back (to Judge Nina Garcia): “I think it [lingerie] is supposed to come off, that’s what I think!”
Santino Impersonates Tim Gunn (oh, GOODY!): All together now: “Andrae! What happened to Andrae?”

Season 3

Keith Gets Kicked Off: Keith Michael was disqualified after pattern books were found in his room. Oops!
Jeffrey Makes Angela’s Mom Cry: For the “Everyday Woman” challenge, Jeffrey dressed Angela’s mom in a hideous blue tent and then berated her on the runway.

Season 4

Jack Says Goodbye; Chris Says Hello (Again): Jack had to leave because of a medical condition and that brought our favorite giggler Chris March back (but we still don’t get the hair-fringe thing, Chris!).
Christian Gets Catty With Teen: On the “Prom Dress” challenge, Christian and his client, Maddie, bickered like Christian was right back in high school. Not so fierce.
Ricky Cries. Like, All the Time: Enough said.
OMG! SJP!: Sarah Jessica Parker?!!? On Project Runway?!?!
Elisa Spit-Marks: Now, that was just plain weird!

Take a look at the “Greatest Moments” slideshow here, and get ready to sew one on!
