One man’s haunting melody is another man’s fingernails on a chalkboard. So it goes in the music biz, where there always seems to be a fine line between sentimental and maudlin, sincerity and schtick.
With romance in the air and Cupid about to empty that quiver of arrows on the unsuspecting, the airwaves will be full of all kinds of old faves sure to set the heart aflutter. Of course, they will also be spewing out plenty of old junk certain to bring back all kinds of cringe-worthy memories of relationships that didn’t quite make it to the happily-ever-after phase.
