Worst holiday movies
December 5, 2008
If it’s December, it’s time to reserve an evening or two to revisit those holiday classics we’ve all come to know and love.
Uncle Billy will lose the money, but the townfolk will save the Baileys, just like they do every year. The Polar Express will make a doubter believe. Kevin’s family will find him…eventually.
Everyone has his or her favorite.
In the rush to cash in on this most sentimental of seasons, Hollywood has cranked out some worthy efforts over the years…and some real stinkers. Entertainment Weekly composed a roster of some of the latter in its “20 Worst Holiday Movies.”
Here are the first 10:
Fred Claus (2007)
Silent Night, Deadly Night (1984)
Jack Frost (1998)
Santa Claus, The Movie (1985)
Black Christmas (1974)
Miracle on 34th Street (1994)
Toys (1992)
Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (1992)
Ernest Saves Christmas (1988)
Deck the Halls (2006)
To see the rest, and to catch a slideshow sure to jog some unpleasant memories, visit Entertainment Weekly.
