U.S. Olympic Women’s Cycling Team

The eight women who comprise the U.S. Olympic cycling team will compete in four disciplines: road cycling, track cycling, mountain biking and, for the first time in the Olympics, bicycle motocross, or BMX racing. The lone female contender in the new BMX category is 26-year-old Jill Kintner of Seattle, Wash.
Women’s Road Cycling
Kristin Armstrong (Boise, Idaho) – Age: 34

Christine Thorburn (Davenport, Iowa) – Age: 38
Women’s Track Cycling
Sarah Hammer (Temecula, Calif.) – Age: 24
Jennie Reed (Kirkland, Wash.) – Age: 30
Women’s Mountain Biking
Georgie Gould (Ketchum, Idaho) – Age: 28
Mary McConneloug (Fairfax, Calif.) – Age: 37
Women’s Bicycle Motocross (BMX)
Jill Kintner (Seattle, Wash.) – Age: 26
