The four members of the U.S. table tennis team at the Beijing Olympics are all Chinese born, and they’ll be competing in the country that reveres table tennis more than any other sport. It comes as no surprise, then, that the Chinese teams are favored to win in both men’s and women’s competition.

The American men’s team is unseeded, and the women’s team is seeded ninth, according to NBC’s Olympic Games site.

The members of the U.S. team are:

Gao Jun (Gaithersburg, Md.)

Wang Chen (New York, N.Y.)

Crystal Huang (San Gabriel, Calif.)

David Zhuang (West Windsor, N.J.)

To learn more about table tennis in the Olympics, visit the U.S. Table Tennis website. If you want to see all U.S. Olympic qualifiers in every sport for the Beijing games, search on this official U.S. Olympics page. The Beijing Games site has history and information about the sport, as does the official Olympic page.
