Every memorable TV show has a memorable theme…or so it seems, anyway. But what are the best of the best?

Such things are subjective and open to debate, of course, but here are 10 good ones, culled from a list of 18 compiled by The Extraordinary Book of Lists:

  1. “Where Everybody Knows Your Name” (Cheers)

  2. “Love Is All Around” (The Mary Tyler Moore Show)

  3. “Theme Song from The Brady Bunch” (The Brady Bunch)

  4 ”Ballad of Gilligan’s Isle” (Gilligan’s Island)

  5. “Meet the Flintstones” (The Flintstones)

  6. “I’ll Be There for You” (Friends)

  7. “Those Were the Days” (All in the Family)

  8. “Theme from the Addams Family” (The Addams Family)

  9. “Theme to Happy Days” (Happy Days)

10. “Making Our Dreams Come True” (Laverne & Shirley)
