Top NFL Non-Hall of Famers

It’s a summer rite of NFL passage to watch that parade of weepy veterans in Canton, Ohio, remembering all the folks who helped make their induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame possible.

But what about those who don’t get the call? One longtime wrong was righted in 2008 when former Redskins great Art Monk finally got his bust. Still, there are others who never seem to get quite enough votes, inspiring the NFL Network to assemble its Top 10 Not in the Hall of Fame.

Here’s the list, with position and the team with which the player is most closely associated:

Cris Carter, WR, Minnesota
Alex Karras, DL, Detroit
Steve Tasker, WR/ST, Buffalo
Jim Marshall, DL, Minnesota
Derrick Thomas, LB, Kansas City
Jerry Kramer, OL, Green Bay
Ricky Watters, RB, San Francisco
Ken Stabler, QB, Oakland
Ken Anderson, QB, Cincinnati
Bob Hayes, WR, Dallas
