By Christmas Eve, most of us have paid our annual visit to Bedford Falls or watched the Grinch have a change of heart, but that doesn’t mean it’s too late to take in a yuletide classic or two.

A while back, Entertainment Weekly came up with its list of the 12 best holiday movies of all time. The usual suspects are represented, but you might find a surprise or two. A few might even leave you scratching your head, but, hey, that’s the way things go in the list business.

Ready to see who made it?

Here goes:

Elf

Emmet Otter’s Jug Band Christmas

Miracle on 34th Street

It’s a Wonderful Life

Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas

Meet Me in St. Louis

A Christmas Story: 20th Anniversary Two-Disc Edition

Gremlins: Special Edition

A Christmas Carol

The Simpsons’ Christmas Special

The Bishop’s Wife

Love Actually
