Here’s the scheduled lineup for the ninth season of Dancing with the Stars, which premieres on Sept. 21:

Chuck Liddell: Ultimate Fighting Championship member.

Natalie Coughlin: Swimmer who won six gold medals at the 2008 Olympics.

Michael Irvin: NFL Hall of Fame wide receiver and former Dallas Cowboy.

Mya: Grammy-winning R&B singer.

Kelly Osbourne: Daughter of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne.

Macy Gray: Grammy Award-winning singer.

Debi Mazar: Actress and Entourage star.

Ashley Hamilton: Son of George Hamilton and Alana Stewart.

Kathy Ireland: Actress, model and entrepreneur.

Joanna Krupa: Model.

Aaron Carter: Pop singer.

Donny Osmond: One half of Donny and Marie.

Melissa Joan Hart: Actress and star of Sabrina the Teenage Witch.

Tom DeLay: Former Republican House Majority Leader.

Mark Dacascos: Iron Chef America.

ABC Fall primetime lineup

ABC has announced its primetime lineup for the Fall 2009 season. The schedule includes three new dramas and four comedies. Lost returns in 2010 for its final season.

All times are Eastern.

MONDAY: 8 p.m. Dancing With the Stars; 10 p.m. Castle

TUESDAY: 8 p.m. Shark Tank; 9 p.m. Dancing With the Stars the Results Show; 10 p.m. The Forgotten

WEDNESDAY: 8 p.m. Hank; 8:30 p.m. The Middle; 9 p.m. Modern Family; 9:30 p.m. Cougar Town; 10 p.m. Eastwick

THURSDAY: 8 p.m. Flash Forward; 9 p.m. Grey’s Anatomy; 10 p.m. Private Practice

FRIDAY: 8 p.m. Supernanny; 9 p.m. Ugly Betty; 10 p.m. 20/20

SATURDAY: 8 p.m. Saturday Night College Football

SUNDAY: 7 p.m. America’s Funniest Home Videos; 8 p.m. Extreme Makeover: Home Edition; 9 p.m. Desperate Housewives; 10 p.m. Brothers & Sisters

Notes: The Bachelor will air Monday nights from 8-10 p.m. following the run of Dancing With the Stars. Scrubs and Better Off Ted will air at 9 and 9:30 p.m., respectively, following the run of Dancing with the Stars The Results Show.

Another year, another chapter of Dancing with the Stars safely in the books. Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson became the Season 8 winner, edging out Gilles Marini for the title. She became the third Olympic gold medalist to win the event, joining speed skater Apolo Anton Ohno and figure skater Kristi Yamaguchi.

Here’s a list of the winners from the first eight seasons, with professional partner in parentheses:

Lil’ Kim — Born Kimberly Denise Jones, Lil’ Kim, is a Grammy Award winning multi-platinum rapper, singer, actress, and fashion icon. She is one of three female rappers to have a No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 hit with 2001’s “Lady Marmalade,” featuring Christina Aguilera, Pink, & Mýa. As an actress, she appeared on television shows such as Moesha and The Game, and on her own reality series Countdown to Lockdown, which has the hightest-rated premiere in BET’s history. On film, she has appeared in Zoolander, She’s All That, Juwanna Man, and You Got Served.

The demise of reality television has been predicted for years now, but the American public still can’t seem to get enough of wannabe dancers and tone-deaf singers. Overall numbers may be fading ever-so-slightly, but there’s no denying that Amercan Idol and Dancing with the Stars remain powerful draws with viewers and lucrative properties for their networks.

Of the Top 10-rated programs in the 2007-08 season, six of those slots are occupied by manifestations of either Idol or Dancing. Meanwhile, the sitcom — long a staple of network programming — has all but disappeared from the face of the Nielsen ratings, with Two and a Half Men carrying the banner at No. 17 overall.

Here’s a look at the Top 10, with network and average weekly viewership in millions:

1. American Idol , Tuesdays, Fox: 28.75.
