Seven Striking New Scents for Fall
September 18, 2008
From Shopperati
Need a new scent for fall, to go along with those thigh-high boo
ts and that wild plaid jacket? There are plenty of new perfumes on shelves for the season, but Shopperati picked seven that sound wonderful – and look beautiful.
(And keep an eye peeled for a first-time scent from sunny designer Lilly Pulitzer sometime in mid-November)
1. Viva La Juicy, by Juicy Couture, left, at Sephora. In a gold decanter with a Juicy charm. A 1.7 oz. bottle of perfume is $65.
2. Exclusive Love in Black by Creed. Any new Creed scent is worth celebrating in some circles. The pricey British brand has a loyal following. Exclusively at Bergdorf Goodman, it’s $230 for 2.5 oz.
Check out our other five perfume picks:
3. Coach Legacy: The maker of fine purses and footwear has a perfume that arrives in iconic Coach packaging, $75 for 1.7 oz.
4. Bond No. 9 New York Andy Warhol Union Square is the latest in the beloved Bond line of perfumes, and the 3.3 oz. bottle alone is likely worth the $195 (from Saks).
5. Van Cleef & Arpels Feerie perfume at Neiman Marcus comes in a beautiful bottle befitting the jewelry retailer, and a price of $150 for 3.3 oz.
6. David Yurman Eau de Parfum, also a Neiman Marcus special, is from yet another jewelry maker turned perfume designer. Again, the beautiful faceted golden bottle with a sculpted cap will make your bathroom look luxurious. A 2.5 bottle is $165.
7. Lalique le Parfum Extract comes from yet another unlikely perfume source. Lalique, known for their exquisite crystal, steps in with a new scent. We’re sure it smells heavenly, but this one may be as much about the bottle as the perfume. Pull out all the stops at Saks and scoop up one of these limited edition red crystal bottles (numbered and signed collector’s editions) for $935.
