NLCS All-Time Results
October 17, 2008
Following the grind of the 162-game regular season, baseball’s relatively short postseason can produce some surprising results.
In 2007, the Colorado Rockies parlayed a red-hot September into a playoff spot, where they promptly rolled through the first two rounds before being swept by the Red Sox in the World Series. A year later, two of the teams favored to make it to the World Series — the Cubs and Angels — were dispatced in the first round, while the lesser regarded Phillies and Dodgers advanced to the National League Championship Series.
