NL Home Run Leaders 2008

September 30, 2008

If you wanted a spot among the National League’s top home run hitters in 2008, it didn’t hurt if you were named Ryan, as three of the top six were.

No one, however, was able to keep pace with Philadelphia’s Ryan Howard. The Phillies’ first baseman knocked it out of the park 11 times in September alone, leading his team to the NL East championship in the process.

Here’s the list of the leaders:

1. Ryan Howard, Philadelphia: 48

2. Adam Dunn, Arizona: 40

3. Carlos Delgado, New York: 38

T4. Ryan Braun, Milwaukee: 37

T4. Ryan Ludwick, St. Louis: 37

T4. Albert Pujols, St. Louis: 37
