National League RBI Leaders 2008

In the process of pumping out a National League-best 48 home runs in 2008, Philadelphia’s Ryan Howard drove in a few, too. His 146 runs batted in beat out second place David Wright of the Mets by 22 RBI.

A quick footnote: Of the top seven, Howard is the only player who was able to help his team into the playoffs, as the Phillies won the National League East.

That said, here’s a list of the NL’s top run producers in 2008:

1. Ryan Howard, Philadelphia: 146

2. David Wright, New York: 124

3. Adrian Gonzalez, San Diego: 119

4. Albert Pujols, St. Louis: 116

5. Carlos Delgado, New York: 115

6. Ryan Ludwick, St. Louis: 113

7. Carlos Beltran, New York: 112
