After the speeches were over and the lights were turned out, Yankee Stadium faced the wrecking ball and began its slide into the collective memory of the American sports fan.

As the final days ticked away, ESPN Page 2 set out to name the 100 most important sports venues in America. No. 1 was pretty much a no-brainer, but who else made the list?

Here’s the Top 10:

1. Yankee Stadium

2. Camden Yards

3. Madison Square Garden

4. The Astrodome

5. Augusta National

6. National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum

7. Indianapolis Motor Speedway

8. Nike Headquarters

9. The Rose Bowl

10. ESPN Headquarters
