With so much talk about recession and tough times, it’s easy to forget that plenty of companies still do pretty good business.

Fortune is out with its latest list of the 500 richest companies in America. Many of these corporate giants have suffered through the general slump, and a few may be on the verge of bankruptcy, but some are well-positioned to benefit from the eventual rebound.

Who’s on top?

Here are the Top 10:

1. ExxonMobil

2. Wal-Mart Stores

3. Chevron

4. ConocoPhillips

5. General Electric

6. General Motors

7. Ford Motor

8. AT&T

9. Hewlett-Packard

10. Valero Energy
