If Cher could name her daughter Chastity, I guess Madonna could christen her daughter Lourdes. Does the Material Girl consider The Song of Bernadette one of her all-time favorite movies? In down-to-earth moments, Madonna calls her daughter Lola.

TV doc Patrick Dempsey named his twins Darby Galen and Sullivan Patrick. But his first-born daughter has a mouthful of a moniker — Tallula Fyfe. She’ll probably want to be known as “Tallie.”

But Tallula Fyfe Dempsey is not the only Tallulah in La-La Land, regardless of how you spell it. Bruce Willis and Demi Moore named one of their daughters Tallulah Belle. Will anyone dare call her Lulu Belle? Their other two daughters are named Rumer Glenn, for one of their favorite authors Rumer Godden (Black Narcissus, The River) and Scout LaRue, for To Kill a Mockingbird ’s Scout. Who would’ve thought that Bruce even had a library card?

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith are proud parents of a daughter named Willow. Given those genes, it’s doubtful such a calamity would happen, but what if Willow grows up short and stocky?

And how about Moses and Apple? Gwyneth Paltrow insists that she and husband Chris Martin knew what they were doing. According to the IMDb Web site, Apple was so named because the fruit is “whole, sweet and crisp.” (Just watch out for those seeds and an occasional worm.) Moses is Gwyneth’s father Bruce’s Hebrew name.

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony opted for relative simplicity when they called their twins Max and Emme (although there may be some confusion regarding the pronunciation of Emme’s name.)
