Bands at Woodstock ‘69 and ‘94

To commemorate the 25th aniversary of Woodstock, another music festival was arranged for upstate New York. Originally tabbed “Two More Days of Peace and Music,” the festival actually was expanded to a third day, thus running August 12-14, 1994.

This time, the venue was a field in Saugerties, New York, about 10 miles from Woodstock, that had been proposed for the 1969 event. (The original “Woodstock” actually was held in Bethel, N.Y.)

Obviously, a few things had changed over the quarter century that had lapsed, but several acts from the ‘69 event were still willing to return in ‘94. That (short) list includes:

The Band
Crosby, Stills & Nash
Joe Cocker
Country Joe McDonald
Santana
