America’s least-stolen cars

When you go new car shopping, insurability is a big factor in assessing overall cost. Sometimes, that vehicle you love so much doesn’t just have a hefty price tag; it’s expensive to cover, too.

Part of that extra cost can be tied to the potential for theft. If your new toy has a tendency to disappear from driveways and parking lots, you can bet insurers will make you pay dearly for the privilege of driving it.

Forbes put together a list of “America’s least-stolen cars.” If you happen to like one of these, you might save yourself a few dollars with the insurance agent. Feeling a bit more confident that you’ll find your vehicle where you left it won’t hurt, either.

Here are the Top 10:

Ford Freestyle

Saturn Relay

Toyota Prius

Volvo V70

Ford Focus

Volkswagon New Beetle

Buick Terraza

Subaru Forester

Buick Rainier

Mercedes E Class
