Oddball festivals

People love to celebrate, and some will go to seemingly ridiculous lengths to justify a party.

Garlic festivals? Green been jamborees? Rattlesnake cookoffs?

When it’s time to get down, just about anything goes. Recently, Forbes Traveler spanned the globe and came up with its list of Oddball Festivals Around the World.

Check ‘em out:

Desert Festival of Jaisalmer Rajasthan, India

Boryeong Mud Festival

Witches’ Night, Prague, Czech Republic

Galician Carnival, Galicia, Spain

Cheese Rolling Festival, Gloucestershire, U.K.

Yap Day Festival, Micronesia

Festival of the Tooth Kandy, Sri Lanka

Viking Moot Festival, Aarhus, Denmark

The Naked Festival, Saidai-ji-naka, Japan

Pulilan Carabao Festival, Bulacan, Philippines
