Top summer movies

Forget about Oscar for a while. Summer is about flashy graphics and blowing things up — the stuff vacation-time movies do best.

While it may be a bit early, X Men Origins: Wolverine generally was considered the kickoff of the summer movie season, and an $87 million opening weekend suggested that the public is ready to make with the mindless entertainment.

Entertainment Weekly recently published its list of the 22 films most likely to do well between now and Labor Day.

Here’s a look:

X Men Origins: Wolverine

Star Trek (May 8)

The Brothers Bloom (May 15)

Terminator Salvation (May 21)

The Girlfriend Experience (May 22)

Up (May 29)

Drag Me To Hell (May 29)

Land of the Lost (June 5)

Dead Snow (June 12)

Moon (June 12)
