NBA Scoring Leaders 2008

Purists love the well-executed assist, coaches want their charges to “D” up, and the casual fan loves the soaring dunk or the momentum-changing blocked shot.

But everybody loves a scorer.

After all is said and done, putting the ball in the basket is job one in the NBA. Other folks may do the little things well, but these guys are the ones making the big bucks.

Who did it better than anyone else during the 2007-2008 regular season?

Here’s the list:

LeBron James, Cleveland: 30.00 ppg

Kobe Bryant, Los Angeles Lakers: 28.3

Allen Iverson, Denver: 26.4

Carmelo Anthony, Denver: 25.7

Amare Stoudemire, Phoenix: 25.2

Dwyane Wade, Miami: 24.6

Kevin Martin, Sacramento: 23.7

Dirk Nowitzki, Dallas: 23.6

Michael Redd, Milwaukee: 22.7

Richard Jefferson, N.J.: 22.6
