Queer college expert Shane Windmeyer talked with hundreds of students for The Advocate College Guide for LGBT Students, the definitive guide to the 100 best schools for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender students. The book includes advice from students who attend those schools along with tons of details on the schools and their LGBT services. Windmeyer says. “We highlight colleges that are progressive in their area of the country. If you’re in Nebraska, you don’t have to go to California to find a school that takes responsibility for its LGBT students.”
