Dukes of Hazzard (2005)

Who says Jessica Simpson doesn’t get it? In an interview promoting the screen version of good old boys getting crossways with the authorities, Simpson admitted that much of her preparation for shooting involved getting her legs and backside in top shape. Now that’s someone who understands her role. One reviewer lauded Simpson’s efforts by saying “she isn’t as awful as you might think.” Unfortunately, the movie as a whole may be even more of a bottom-feeder than the source material. Still, the film made $80 million domestically on a $50 million budget, so at least the suits were happy.
