America’s best places to move

If you’re in the business of building a career, working for one company doesn’t necessarily mean living in one place. Plenty of successful people are as deft in packing as they are on the job, and for many, relocating is simply a way of life.

Where to go when the job takes you from Atlanta to Japan and points in between? Some towns and suburbs actually have more appeal to “relos” than others.

Forbes recently put together a list of some of America’s Best Places to Move. Here are the top 10:

1. Alpharetta, Ga. (22 miles from Atlanta)

2. Huntersville, N.C. (15 miles from Charlotte)

3. Apex, N.C. (15 miles from Raleigh)

4. Parker, Colo. (20 miles from Denver

5. Castle Rock, Colo. (33 miles from Denver)

6. Flower Mound, Texas (28 miles from Dallas)

7. Frisco, Texas (30 miles from Dallas)

8. Cary, N.C. (12 miles from Raleigh)

9. McKinney, Texas (32 miles from Dallas)

10. Roswell, Ga. (22 miles from Atlanta)

To find out why these ‘burbs appeal to the chronically dislocated, and to see the remainder of the list, visit Forbes.
