If keeping up with the mortgage payment during these turbulent financial times has become a challenge, things could be worse. Imagine if you were trying to keep up with the Joneses in some of the more high-priced neighborhoods in America.

Admittedly, monthly payments probably aren’t an issue for folks in these tax brackets, but the cost of living in the “right” spot isn’t getting any cheaper. Forbes set out to identify the richest of the rich areas to determine America’s 100 Most Expensive Zip Codes.

Here’s the Top 10, with ZIP code, name of community, and median home sales price:

10. 90210: Beverly Hills, Calif. — $2.41 million

  9. 92067: Rancho Santa Fe, Calif. — $2.47 million

  8. 11975: Wainscott, N.Y. — $2.56 million

  7. 93108: Santa Barbara, Calif. — $2.7 million

  6. 94027: Atherton, Calif. — $2.7 million

  5. 11976: Water Mill, N.Y. — $2.72 million

  4. 92657: Newport Coast, Calif. — $2.8 million

  3. 11765: Mill Neck, N.Y. — $3 million

  2. 07620: Alpine, N.J. — $3.59 million

  1. 33109: Fisher Island, Fla. — $3.85 million
