Watchmen: Movies from graphic novels

Ghost World (2001). Another unusual graphic novel that received a solid screen translation. Thora Birch and Scarlett Johansson play high-school nerds who play a trick on older nerd Steve Buscemi with unexpected results. Definitely worth a look, with a supporting cast that seems like an indie dreamland. We all know what Scarlett’s been up to, but Thora sadly has done little of note since her one-two punch of American Beauty and Ghost World.
