Rivals top high school football teams

Bill Sullivan
November 24, 2008

While it may be an impossible task to compare high school football teams from Florida, California and Texas, it’s a dirty job that Rivals.com has decided to take on. Not only did the publication try to sort out the very best, but it also had the audacity to attempt to rate the Top 100.

Who’s No. 1 through the weekend of Nov. 20-22? A North Texas entry continues atop the list.

Here are the Top 10, according to Rivals:

1. Trinity (Euless, Tex.)
2. St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.)
3. Armwood (Seffner, Fla.)
4. Lowndes (Valdosta, Ga.)
5. St. Ignatius (Cleveland, Ohio)
6. Centennial (Corona, Calif.)
7. Oscar Smith (Chesapeake, Va.)
8. South Pointe (Rock Hill, S.C.)
9. Poly (Long Beach, Calif.)
10. South Panola (Batesville, Miss.)

Curious who else made the list? Check out the rest at Rivals.com.
