From a pool of 33 players, the organization has selected the 12 it believes give the United States its best chance of restoring some of the glory of “Dream Team” outings past.

Kobe Bryant, who missed out on the NBA title when his Lakers were dispatched by the Celtics in The Finals, will have a chance to salvage his summer. So, too, will LeBron James, whose Cleveland Cavaliers failed to defend their Eastern Conference championship this year.

Two members of the Utah Jazz made the cut. So, too, did Jason Kidd, the Dallas point guard who is the only returnee from the 2000 gold medal winner.

Who else will be heading to China?

Here’s the list:

Carmelo Anthony, Denver

Carlos Boozer, Utah

Chris Bosh, Toronto

Kobe Bryant, Los Angeles Lakers

Dwight Howard, Orlando

LeBron James, Cleveland

Jason Kidd, Dallas

Chris Paul, New Orleans

Tayshaun Prince, Detroit

Michael Redd, Milwaukee

Dwayne Wade, Miami

Deron Williams, Utah

Tiger Woods not only leads the way; he raked in more than twice the haul of his nearest rival, fellow golfer Phil Mickelson.

In compiling the list, SI limited earnings to salary, winnings, bonuses, endorsements and appearances. Given Tiger’s on-course success and enormous personal popularity, it’s no great surprise that he fared well in all categories, commanding an estimated $105 million in endorsements alone.

After Tiger and Phil, the rest of the Top 10 is made up or four NBA stars, two New York Yankees, one NFL quarterback, and a boxer.

Here’s the abbreviated version of the list:

1. Tiger Woods, golf – $127,902,706

2. Phil Mickelson, golf — $62,372,685

3. LeBron James, NBA — $40,455,000

5. Kobe Bryant, NBA, $35,490,625

6. Shaquille O’Neal, NBA, $35,000,000
