Carrie Underwood: Arguably the most successful Idol winner. (A case can be made for Clarkson as well.) Underwood took home a Grammy this year for Best Female Country Vocal Performance for “Last Name” from her multi-platinum CD Carnival Ride. She also was nominated for three Academy of Country Music Awards. At the rate she’s going, Jessica Simpson can have Tony Romo.
