Taylor Hicks: After his debut album sold a little more than 700,000 copies, Hicks faded from view. His latest album, The Distance, was released on his own label, Modern Whomp Records. In his spare time, Hicks also has been appearing in a traveling revival of the musical Grease. And his popularity endures: The New York Post reported that Hicks’ presence in the show produced an estimated $150,000 bump per week during its Broadway run.
