Kelly Clarkson: The very first Idol winner has staying power, despite bouts with her record label over control of her choice of material. In early February, her latest single (”My Life Would Suck Without You”) jumped from No. 97 to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, the biggest one-week jump in the chart’s history. Her next album, All I Ever Wanted, was released March 10.
