‘Entertainment Weekly’s Funniest People

Entertainment Weekly recently announced its 2008 list of the funniest people in America, ranked in order, starting with Augusten Burroughs at #25 then going up, up, up (past Sarah Silverman, Dave Chapelle, Larry David, David Letterman, Will Ferrell). When we got to #2, we thought, “Who on EARTH could be funnier than Stephen Colbert, especially since Ricky Gervais [pictured] — who might actually be funnier — already showed up as a lowly #14?” Well, you can see #1 below, and “Judd” for yourself. I’m going with Colbert/Gervais (although if Eddie Izzard lived in the United States …).
