Highest paid athletes
June 18, 2009
Imagine being off the job for most of a year and still making a nine-figure salary? It’s nice work if you can get it, and golf’s most dominant player did just that.
Despite being sidelined between the 2008 U.S. Open and the Spring of 2009, Tiger Woods still tops Forbes‘ newest list of the World’s Highest Paid Athletes. Who else is at the top of this game when it comes to raking in the cash? According to Forbes, here are the Top 10:
1. Tiger Woods — $110 million
T2. Kobe Bryant — $45 million
T2. Michael Jordan — $45 million
T2. Kimi Raikkonen — $45 million
5. David Beckham — $42 million
T6. LeBron James — $40 million
T6. Phil Mickelson — $40 million
T6. Manny Pacquaio — $40 million
9. Valentino Rossi — $35 million
10. Dale Earnhardt, Jr. — $34 million
