PGA Tour Money Leaders

Bill Sullivan
June 5, 2008

It’s hardly unusual to see Tiger Woods at the top of the leader board at any tournament he deigns to enter, but that’s not the only place where he’s top of the class.

Check out the leading money winners on the PGA Tour, and Tiger appears early and often.

Over the past 10 years, only three players have finished the season with the most cash. That’s because Woods has led the pack a whopping seven times, including the last three. What makes that doubly remarkable is that, unlike many of his competitors, Woods has trimmed his schedule, playing only in majors and other events of choice.

Work less. Make more. Nice gig if you can get it, and Tiger Woods has done just that.

Here’s the list. Read it and weep.

2007 — Tiger Woods, $10,867,052

2006 — Tiger Woods, $9,941,563

2005 — Tiger Woods, $10,628,024

2004 — Vijay Singh, $10,905,166

2003 — Vijay Singh, $7,573,907

2002 — Tiger Woods, $6,912,625

2001 — Tiger Woods, $5,687,777

2000 — Tiger Woods, $9,188,321
