U.S. Olympic Women’s Track and Field Team

The women’s U.S. Olympic track and field team roster includes six members who won Olympic medals in 2004 (three gold) and 10 who have World Championship medals (15 gold among them). Defending medalists include Lauryn Williams (100 meter, pictured at 2007 World Championships) and Allyson Felix (200 meter). Three of the four defending gold medalists in the 4×400 meter relay are also on the team: Sanya Richards, DeeDee Trotter and Monique Henderson.  

American record holders on the team include Shalane Flanagan, Kim Kreiner, Jenn Stuczynski, Anna Willard and Suzy Powell-Roos. Amy Acuff will be participating in her fourth Olympics games. The oldest team member is Joanne Dow (20k race walk) at 44, and the youngest is Queen Harrison, 400m hurdler, 19.

The team members, according to the U.S. Track and Field Association, are:

The coach of the American women’s track and field team is Jeanette Bolden, in her 14th year as the head track and field coach at UCLA.
