U.S. Olympic Women’s Water Polo Team

America’s women’s water polo team is led by captain Brenda Villa, a three-time Olympian. This will make Heather Petri’s third Olympic competition as well, and Natalie Golda has competed twice. The remaining 10 are newcomers to the Olympics, but they’ve set the bar high by winning gold at the 2007 Pan American Games.
The members of the team are:
Betsey Armstrong (Ann Arbor, Mich.) – Goalkeeper
Heather Petri (Orinda, Calif..) – Attacker
Brittany Hayes (Santa Ana, Calif.) – Left-Handed Attacked
Brenda Villa (Commerce, Calif.) – Attacker
Lauren Wenger (Long Beach, Calif.) - All Around
Natalie Golda (Fullerton, Calif.) - Defender, Utility
Patty Cardenas (Commerce, Calif.) - Attacker
Jessica Steffens (Danville, Calif.) - Defender
Elsie Windes (Portland, Ore.) - Defender
Alison Gregorka (Ann Arbor, Mich.) - Defender
Moriah van Norman (San Diego, Calif.) – Center
Kami Craig (Santa Barbara, Calif.) - Center
Jaime Hipp (Fresno, Calif.) – Goalkepper
