The 16 women of the U.S. Olympic field hockey team will be the first American team to play the sport in Olympic competition since 1996. The team members are:

Kate Barber (West Chester, Penn.) – Position: Midfield

Kayla Bashore (Shoemakersville, Penn.) – Position: Midfield

Lauren Crandall (Doylestown, Penn.) – Position: Defense

Rachel Dawson (Berlin, N.J.) – Position: Defense

Kelly Doton (Greenfield, Mass.) – Position: Defense

Katelyn Falgowski (Landenberg, Penn.) – Position: Defense

Jesse Gey (Greenlane, Penn.) – Position: Forward

Carrie Lingo (Rehoboth Beach, Del.) – Position: Midfield

Angie Loy (Loysville, Penn.) – Position: Forward

Caroline Nichols (Virginia Beach, Vir.) – Position: Defense

Lauren Powley (Mountaintop, Penn.) – Position: Midfield

Dina Rizzo (Walpole, Mass.) – Position: Forward

Dana Sensenig (Denver, PA) – Position: Midfield

Keli Smith (Selinsgrove, Penn.) – Position: Forward

Tiffany Snow (Escondido, Calif.) – Position: Forward

Amy Tran (Grantville, Penn.) – Position: Goalkeeper
