Formula 1 racing is more popular overseas than it is in America, but for your your serious gearheads, names like Michael Schumacher and Fernando Alonso are plenty familiar.
The German-born Schumacher won seven World Championships, claimed 68 poles, and finished first in 91 of the 250 Grand Prix events he entered. By the time he retired in 2004, he had set standards likely never to be broken.
