Looking to lose a few of those extra pounds before winter gives way to spring? Plenty of folks are.

Trouble is, how to go about it? There are no shortage of diets out there, but different kinds work for different people.

According to well-being-guide.com, here are five of the most popular:

The Atkins Diet – Cut down on carbs, burn more fat.

The Zone – 40% carbs, 30% fat, and 30% protein.

Weight Watchers -Foods are assigned point values, and you only get so many points per day.

The Macrobiotic diet – Eat only eat when you are hungry, chew slower, and divide daily portions up into rigidly set groups.

The Raw Foods diet – Replace cooked food with fresh, raw food filled with enzymes.
