Adam Sandler is back at the multiplex, appearing in Judd Apatow’s Funny People.

The film — about a jaded comic facing his own mortality — is a departure for Sandler. While the movie drew decent reviews, it doesn’t appear destined to be one of his biggest hits, pulling in an estimated $23.4 million over its first weekend.

Here’s a list of his top-grossing films to date, with release date and lifetime gross:

Big Daddy (6/25/99): $163,479,795
The Waterboy (11/6/98): $161,491,646
The Longest Yard (5/27/05): $158,119,460
Anger Management (4/11/03): $135,645,823
Mr. Deeds (6/28/02): $126,293,452
50 First Dates (2/13/04):$120,908,074
I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry (7/20/07): $120,059,556
Bedtime Stories (12/25/08): $110,101,975
You Don’t Mess with the Zohan (6/6/08): $100,018,837
