Preakness winners

The Preakness is the second leg of thoroughbred horse racing’s Triple Crown. Nestled between the Kentucky Derby and the Belmont Stakes, the 1 3/16th miles test at Baltimore’s Pimlico Race Course goes a long way toward validating the credentials of the Derby winner…or leaving the sport’s followers to wait another year for a Triple Crown winner.

No horse has prevailed in all three races since Affirmed in 1978. Here’s a list of Preakness winners, with winning jockey, dating back to Affirmed’s history-making effort more than 30 years ago.
