AFI Top Westerns

In case you’ve been thinking that they don’t make Westerns like they used to, you’re apparently right.

When the American Film Institute polled some 1,500 movie types to determine the Top 10 Westerns of all time, the panel was able to reduce the ballot of 50 nominees to the desired number. In doing so, however, voters included only one movie (Unforgiven, 1992) made since 1971.

6. The Wild Bunch (1969)
